Sample--Great Okinawa Ryoori-Sunrise

Yamaguchi Sensee and I along with our friends went to one of Okinawa Ryoori restaurants in Honolulu. Do you know where Okinawa is?? Okinawa is located in the southern part of Japan and was used to be a independent country: Ryuukyuu Ookoku, but it became a part of Japan during the Meiji era (100 years ago). Because of this fact, Okinawa has a different culture, food, and language from the mainland Japan. Well, it is fun to try "Nihon ryoori," but it is actually "Okinawa ryoori."

Gooya Chanpuruu
(You've heard this name so many times in my class through the activity! Yes, this is my favorite!!) Gooya is a bitter gourd and chanpuruu means mixed stuff in Okinawan language. It is made with gooya, toofu, tamago (egg), and becon. It tastes chotto bitter, but it is so oishii!!

Good with your biiru (beer)!!

Okinawa Yaki Soba

This is a little bit different from regular yaki soba you may taste at the Japanese restaurants because it is "Okinawa" Yaki soba. The main difference is the noodles are more thicker compared to regular one. Oishii desu yo.

Dainamaito (Dynamite)

This one was so oishii!! The fish mandated with mayoneese and soy souce.

You should try!!

One good thing about this restaurant is BYOB(Bring Your Own Bevarage)!!

You know what I mean desu ne...

I will plan to have a social gathering at this restaurant sometime in this semester. Let's try Okinawa ryoori along with funny master!! You will be surprised how he funny is.
