Tsukiji Fish Market and Restaurant

Last friday, my sisters, niece and I had dinner at Tsukiji Fish Market and Restaurant on the 4th floor of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. There was a buffet that had a variety of ethnic food selections, but of course we came for the Oishi Japanese food. We had some Unagi, Kappa, Tamago and Tobikko sushi, vegetable and shrimp tempura, Misoyaki butterfish, Vegetable Croquette, and even some crab legs. Since we dined during the dinner hours, the price per person was around $32.95, but is roughly $17 for lunch; which isn't bad because the buffet gives you a wide variety to choose from. Kids 5 and under ate for free and my niece is 5 so it was a good deal. The ambiance was really nice, and the staff was accommodating. All in all the experience was wonderful and if you really like buffet style restaurants, this is the place for you... :)

  • i was actually going to go there before i went to shokudo but the prices were a bit too much for my friends. 20 dollars for the lunch special (it was nighttime) and like 34 dollars for the dinner buffet.
